Marine Radio VHF Course (SROCP) - E-Learning

$120.00

This is a self-paced online course that will teach you about VHF (short-range), and GMDSS relevant equipment such as EPIRBs, SARTs and DSC.

Operators of marine radios on ship stations must possess a Marine Radio Operators Certificate. You also need a certificate to apply for an MMSI number to be able to operate the DSC function on your radio.

This course is also a requirement for those looking to get their Yachtmaster, AMSA Master, and Coxswains.

If you have a radio onboard your vessel, this course is an absolute “must”. We pride ourselves on more than just getting you over the line for the license exam. We actually teach you how to use a radio.

Online Course: $150

PLEASE NOTE: To obtain your Marine Radio License, you will need to sit a practical and theory assessment conducted by the Australian Maritime College. You can purchase this in addition to the online course for an extra $100 if you live in Sydney. This will depend on availability and dates that the course will be running.

If you live outside Sydney you will need to enquire with local organisations such as Marine Rescue or Coast Guard and check if they can conduct the assessment on a bespoke basis. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THEY DO. There could be additional charges based on their terms and conditions.

If you decide to take the Radio License exam with the Australian Maritime College, there will be a additional $89 application fee payable directly to them.
