Australian Sailing Safety & Sea Survival - Full Course (Sydney) in partnership with Flying Fish
This course is aimed at anyone who takes to sea. Whether you are bluewater cruiser or an avid offshore racer, there is something to learn here for all. The course delivers up-to-date information on safety equipment, procedures and survival techniques. By the end of the course, you will gain greater awareness on how to manage risks and emergencies, increased confidence, and a good understanding of the legal responsibilities of owners, skippers and crew.
We will look at relevant case studies, fire some real flares and see what it is like abandoning ship into a liferaft during the wet drills.
The course was developed by Australian Sailing (AS) to provide survival training for Offshore Sailors. It is mandatory for 50% of crew in Category 1 Offshore Races and is highly recommended for sailors in Category 2 events. This course is also recognised by World Sailing, therefore it is valid all over the world.
This certificate is valid for 5 years. After 5 years, you will need to take a Refresher course to revalidate for another 5 years.

RYA Diesel Engine Maintenance (Sydney)
This course is for anyone who operates or own a vessel with a Diesel Engine onboard. Whether you have an auxiliary diesel engine aboard a sailing yacht, or a couple turbo charged diesel on a motor vessel, this course is for you.
By the end of this course, you will know how a typical diesel engine works, including its parts and systems. You will gain an understanding of how to perform routine maintenance and how to troubleshoot some common and simple problems.
This course will save you time and money by helping you preserve your engine and learn the lingo when it comes to dealing with mechanics.
